Event Description:
Camp Tuhsmeheta's Culinary Camp is open to campers ages 13 through high school graduates. Campers learn the skills needed to feed themselves, their friends, and their families. You will slice, measure, boil, grill, bake, and have fun. The Iron Chef Cook-off is exciting!
Other Information:
Camp Tuhsmeheta is located on 297 acres of ecologically
diverse woodlands near Greenville, MI. Situated on ancient sand dunes, the camp
features mature oaks, beech/maple forest uplands, pine/fir forests, and sandy
barrens. The camp also has lowlands that include both bog and fen systems, and
a stream-fed lake for swimming, fishing, and boating. Hundreds of plant and
animal species have been identified on the camp property. The ecosystem
diversity provides blind and visually impaired campers with an opportunity to
touch, smell, hear, taste, and learn about many elements of the natural world.
