Event Description:

Camp Tuhsmeheta's Music Camp is open to campers ages 7 through high school graduates. Campers will work on musical skills, make music, and produce a CD of our final concert. This week includes workshops on singing, song writing, playing instruments, and more, plus all the usual camp activities like swimming and campfire cooking.

Camp Tuhsmeheta is located on 297 acres of ecologically diverse woodlands near Greenville, MI. Situated on ancient sand dunes, the camp features mature oaks, beech/maple forest uplands, pine/fir forests, and sandy barrens. The camp also has lowlands that include both bog and fen systems, and a stream-fed lake for swimming, fishing, and boating. Hundreds of plant and animal species have been identified on the camp property. The ecosystem diversity provides blind and visually impaired campers with an opportunity to touch, smell, hear, taste, and learn about many elements of the natural world.
