PBS Newshour Video Details Michigan Efforts to Prevent Dropout

The PBS National Newshour broadcast a piece on dropout prevention in the Detroit area on Friday, Nov. 25. The piece focuses on the efforts of heroic teachers, administrators, and parents to find solutions to the challenges of decreasing dropout and increasing graduation in the schools. Highlighted in the broadcast was Reaching and Teaching Struggling Learners Initiative (RTSL) and Superintendent's Dropout Challenge participant, Romeo High School, and RTSL Director and Superintendent's Dropout Challenge Coordinator, Leisa Gallagher.
