Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) Public Reporting Data Available
Wednesday, June 06, 2012
Michigan's 2012 school district and service area performance data are now available as required by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). These data provide districts and communities an opportunity to see what is working well in special education and early intervention programs for children and students from birth through age 25, and to identify what aspects are in need of improvement. Some of the areas reported include Graduation, Dropout, Statewide Assessment, and Parent Involvement.
To view the data, visit the Michigan Department of Education website at
www.michigan.gov/ose-eis. Individuals who do not have access to the internet and need to obtain a free paper copy of the information regarding their district can contact their intermediate school district or local district.
For more information, contact Martin Ackley, Communications Director, or Jan Ellis, Spokesperson, Michigan Department of Education, (517) 241-4395.
