The CIMS-2 team will be hosting a break-out session at the Lansing Center on November 25 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM. The session will focus on the CIMS-2 redesign and the connection between CIMS-2 and the School Improvement Framework.

The CIMS-2 team presented the CIMS-2 overview at the MI-TOP conference on October 23, 2008. The team provided an overview of new system functionality, explaining how CIMS-2 is related to Determinations data and answering questions specific to SPP-13.

To keep CIMS-2 users informed on the progress of the CIMS-2 rollout, we have launched an interactive blog with the latest news on the CIMS-2 project. The blog will be updated at the conclusion of each presentation or project team meeting, and will contain up-to-date information on CIMS-2 implementation and allow users to ask questions and make comments about CIMS-2.

In addition to a new name, CIMS-2 features a redesigned and updated process. This section points out the differences between CIMS activities that occurred between October 2005 and June 2008 (CIMS) and the new activities of CIMS-2, which will begin in April 2009.

During fall 2008, the CIMS-2 Project Team will provide information updates at a number of conferences around the state. Please refer to the events calendar for details on conferences, locations, and presenters.
