Performance gap—The gap between what students are expected to do and what students actually do.
Michigan Curriculum Framework—The content standards and benchmarks for a school’s curriculum are contained in the State Board of Education and Michigan Department of Educations’ Michigan Curriculum Framework (1996). The Michigan Curriculum Framework is a resource for helping Michigan’s public and private schools design, implement, and assess their curricula. Core subjects in this document include: English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.
