SPP Organizational Management

An SPP Core Planning Team will coordinate the internal management of the development of the Annual Performance Report. Several additional teams will play a vital role in the collection and analysis of data, determination of activities and generation of reports that result in the final Annual Performance Report (APR) due February 2, 2007. The various teams that support the development of the APR include the following:

  • The SPP Core Planning Team
  • Cluster Teams
  • The OSE/EIS Data Management Team
  • Editorial Team

The SPP Core Team

Provides guidance and leadership for the design and implementation of activities that support the indicators. The SPP Core Planning team is comprised of staff from the OSE/EIS Administrative Management team, Cluster Team Leaders and representatives from the data management team. The SPP Core Planning team ensures that adequate human and fiscal resources are allocated to implement strategies planned by the respective Cluster teams.

Cluster Teams

Cluster teams include MDE staff, consultants and stakeholders. The cluster team members are assigned specific indicators and are responsible for analyzing state data, reviewing and recommending activities that address findings and writing the indicator reports to be included in the 2007 APR. Each cluster includes a select set of indicators that address one of the four critical questions as illustrated in the chart below.

The OSE/EIS Data Management Team

The Data team is comprised of OSE/EIS staff, consultants and contractors. The data management team will aggregate data required by the Cluster teams, provide statistical analysis of data and, when applicable, provide raw data to the cluster teams for analysis. Members of the data management team will serve on the SPP Core Planning team, as required.

Editorial Team

The Editing team will provide professional level editing expertise for the development of the APR prior to final completion of the report. The final edit process will include content and grammatical reviews by the Cluster team leaders, the SPP Core Planning team, the Deputy Director and the Special Education Director.
