AT Training

MITS is revising its training information. New information will be posted as it becomes available.

AT Training

Our goal is to build statewide school district capacity for educators, administrators, and parents. MITS will provide information and trainings related to assistive technology services, materials and resources. To accomplish this, MITS will provide three levels of support to districts:

  1. Minimal Support (providing information/linkages/materials with no specific training required).
  2. Moderate Support (Training the Trainers) at the district or regional level as well as at MITS.
  3. Maximum Support (Intensive Training - on-site training that assists districts in team-building, implementing a decision making process, and, if appropriate, co-facilitating a consultation with district staff at the district level. Maximum support will require a minimum number of participants from a minimum number of disciplines thus ensuring the foundation for a team, capacity building, and improved services to students with disabilities).

Level of support will be determined through collaboration with the district assistive technology contact for each situation.

MITS will work with ISD assistive technology personnel to provide materials and resources to support their efforts in addressing the assistive technology needs of students with disabilities.
