Tip Sheet for "The View" [Word]

The Michigan Department of Education (MDE) Low Incidence Outreach provides four distinct services related to Braille and enlarged print books.

  1. Book Research
  2. Textbook and Trade Book Loan Library
    • The View
The VIEW is an exciting new addition to services provided from the MDE-LIO book production. The MDE-LIO is dedicated to providing materials to students with a visual impairment at no cost or a very low cost in order to assure equal access to print matter. You may search for a book by either the Author, ISBN and orTitle, or a combination of all in the advance search.
  3. Production of Braille and enlarged print books
  4. Coordination of Braille transcription

The documents below provide detailed information on these services.

Any suggestions for improving customer services should be directed to Collette Bauman at baumanc@michigan.gov or (888) 760-2206.
