DB Central
DB Central, Michigan Services for Children and Young Adults Who Are DeafBlind is a grant project funded through the United States
Department
of Education. The grant allows for free, onsite consultation for
families and professionals impact by a person who is DeafBlind.
The
services encompass children and young adults ages birth through
twenty-six, who are enrolled in an early intervention or educational
program. The only requirement is that the individual has BOTH a vision
and a hearing loss. People with multiple disabilities, including those
who do not process visual and auditory information (due to a cognitive
disability) qualify.
DB Central provides educational consultation,
family support, training, and information/resources to teams serving
