Workshops Aid Cooperative Problem Solving

Skills in collaborative problem solving are easy and fun to learn. The Michigan Special Education Mediation Program (MSEMP) makes onsite workshops available to educators and parents to introduce or refresh these skills.

Workshops cover communication, conflict resolution, and collaborative problem solving. These skills provide an alternative to adversarial activities, and make IEP meetings, resolution sessions and mediation more productive.

MSEMP workshops can be tailored to specific groups as well. They can be scheduled as stand-alone events or as part of an in-service or conference.
