Patricia Errer is a School Social Worker for Huron Intermediate School District (HISD). She develops, plans, and provides intervention and evaluations for emotionally impaired (EI) students. Patricia has worked with the developmental disabilities population for 17 years and has been in social work with the EI population for five years. She has a master's degree in social work and a bachelor's degree in social work from Michigan State University.

Jason Novetsky is a School Psychology Consultant at Macomb Intermediate School District, an educational service center that offers support services to the 21 local districts in Macomb County. He coordinates the Macomb County Positive Behavior Support Coaches Network, is a behavior coach for Michigan's Integrated Behavior and Learning Support Initiative (MiBLSi), is involved in various projects studying Response to Intervention for the determination of special education certification, and is a general consultant to local district school psychologists.

His career includes work in the child foster care system, a private sport psychology consultation practice, and over 10 years as a school psychologist for Clarkston Community Schools and Oakland Schools. Jason is currently working on a Ph.D. at Oakland University in early childhood education and special education.

Presently a behavior consultant for Muskegon Area Intermediate School District (MAISD). Susan offers support for the writing and implementation of functional assessments and behavior intervention plans, as well as systemic behavior support for programs and classrooms throughout Muskegon and Oceana County. Susan's career experiences include multi-district program consultant for autistic individuals, educating students at all age levels with autism, emotional impairment, and mental impairment. She has both a bachelor's and master's degree in special education from Western Michigan University.

Steve Vitto has been a behavioral consultant for the Muskegon Area ISD since 1987. He also serves as behavioral and crisis intervention instructor for child and family services, adjunct faculty in classroom management at Grand Valley State University, and is a private consultant for children with severe behavioral difficulties. Steve also has experience as an assistant principal and was a teacher for severely mentally and multiply impaired for eight years. He has a bachelor's degree in education from Kent State University and a master's degree in clinical teaching from Western Michigan University.

Nancy Garon is a speech and language consultant for young children who works for the Oakland Schools. She conducts evaluations of young children and consults with school personnel and families. Nancy leads workshops at the local, state, and national levels and is involved in implementing Part C of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) in Oakland County. Positive Behavior Support, a national initiative to apply a different way of thinking about behavior concerns, is supported in Oakland County through Nancy’s participation in a coaching team providing support to a Michigan PBS pilot site and through her contributions via training and consultation.

Donna Lackie is a social worker and administrator with 20 years of experience in prevention and early childhood programming. Her expertise includes management of public and private grants, collaborative community planning, program evaluation, and research. Donna is an early childhood consultant responsible for parent education services. She coordinates Oakland County’s Project Challenge services and facilitates training in Positive Behavior Support for young children. Donna is also active in the Early On® system (Parts B and C of IDEA), serves as chairperson for the Success by Six Leadership Council for United Way, and coordinates the Ready to Succeed activities for Oakland County.

Frances Paris is a fully licensed psychologist and nationally certified school psychologist. She offers administrative systems support for behavior throughout Oakland County. Frances has taught students with disabilities of all ages in a variety of settings including public schools, detention centers, psychiatric units, and specialized behavioral classrooms across the states of Wisconsin, Massachusetts, and Michigan. She is a master level trainer of Nonviolent Crisis Intervention. She is a speaker for local school districts and at state and national conventions. Her work includes Positive Behavior Support with individual, classroom, and schoolwide applications.

Jan Frederick has served as the Director of Special Education for the St. Clair ISD for seven years. Previously, she was a teacher of the trainable mentally impaired for 12 years. She also was an assistant principal and principal at Woodland Developmental Center.

Cheryl Borowski has been the Coordinator for Planning, Monitoring, and Data Collection for the past five years. Prior to assuming her current position, she provided speech and language services to students in St. Clair County. Cheryl also provided speech and language services for Livonia and Dearborn Public Schools. She is also a trainer for MLPP and our Curriculum Integration Project.

Mike Acosta earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Michigan State University in June 1972. He worked for the Michigan Department of Social Services in Wayne, Wexford, and Missaukee Counties in a variety of positions including Children’s Protective Services and Child Welfare. In 1992, Mike completed a master's degree in social work from Western Michigan University where he was a Thurgood Marshall Scholar and elected to Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society. In 1994, Mike came to the Wexford Missaukee ISD as school social worker. His current duties include coordination of the Early On® and Cradle to Classroom preschool programs.
