The
goals of Positive Behavior Support (PBS) for Young Children
team training are:
- Support
age-appropriate development
- Maintain
enrollment of young children in early care and educational
settings and avoid expulsion
- Promote
school readiness
- Create
environments that ensure early learning
As
a result of PBS for Young Children training, individuals will
be able to:
- Identify
key elements of PBS for Young Children
- Differentiate
between PBS for Young Children and traditional behavior
management
- Perform
confidently during guided practice in working with collaborative
teams
- Participate
in a collaborative team effort to develop a functional assessment
of behavior and writing behavior support plans for young
children
- Assess
learning environments through the use of the Assessment
and Planning Tool
- Identify
the prerequisites, supports, and resources needed for implementation
of PBS for Young Children in your program or programs with
which you work
