IDEA Grant Funded Initiatives

The Michigan Department of Education, Office of Special Education has developed a system to make sure evidence-based education practices are used to support students with disabilities. The IDEA Grant Funded Initiatives (IDEA Grants) are funded under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and address needs identified through federal and/or state mandates, systemic compliance findings, or stakeholder-based concerns. The IDEA Grants system of support includes multiple initiatives designed to work collaboratively to serve Michigan’s diverse learners.
